Your ribbon cutting is an exciting milestone, and the Chamber is here to help make it a smooth and memorable event. Here’s how the day typically unfolds:
- Arrival & Setup – A Chamber staff member will arrive at your location approximately 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. This is also when Chamber members and guests usually begin arriving.
- Welcome Remarks – Before the ribbon is cut, a Chamber representative will say a few words. You will speak as well, welcoming guests and advertising all the unique and special qualities of your business! Be sure to decide in advance who from your organization will address the audience and who will cut the ribbon.
- Photo Opportunities – We’ll gather behind a large ceremonial ribbon and take group photos before the cut. You choose the best photo location. Ideally, somewhere that clearly displays your business name. Pictures can be taken indoors or outdoors.
- The Big Moment – After a countdown, the ribbon is cut, officially marking your celebration!
What the Chamber Provides:
We will supply the ribbon and large ceremonial scissors, capture photos of the event, post them to our social media platforms (Joint & Traditional), and submit the image to The Daily Tribune. Most ribbon cuttings last approximately 45 minutes to one hour. To respect your guests’ time, it’s important to start promptly.
Optional Event Enhancements:
Offer refreshments, beverages, door prizes, or decorations to create a festive atmosphere.
Have plenty of marketing materials and business cards available for guests to take with them.
A well-planned ribbon cutting not only commemorates your achievement but also creates valuable networking and promotional opportunities for your business!
