    Celebrate Black History Month this year with an exploration of your own family history! Bartow County Library is excited to welcome Tamika Strong, Reference Division Manager at Auburn Avenue Research Library and President of the Georgia Genealogical Society, to teach a class in African American Genealogy Basics. She will be highlighting resources available through Bartow County Library as well as local repositories. 

    Tamika Strong has been studying African American history and culture for nearly 30 years.  She has been tracing African American roots for the past 20 years.  She is an active member in several genealogy organizations, including the Georgia Genealogical Society and serves as a moderator of a genealogy discussion group.
