This course delves into the emotional skills used to stimulate employee motivation and commitment; clearly defining emotional intelligence (EI) and revealing methods used to increase performance & productivity in the workplace.
Participants will be able to:
- Gain an understanding of emotional intelligence (EI) and how EI leads to a more productive and motivated workforce; increasing employee performance and commitment.
- Understand the difference between transactional and transformational leadership as it applies to emotional intelligence.
- Gain an understanding of job demands that trigger undesired emotions in the workplace.
- Analyze workplace performance levels and emotional stimulants (triggers) that lead to desired performance levels.
About our Guest Speaker:
The facilitator, Mecole Ledbetter, M. Ed., was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, raised in Columbus, Georgia and for over 20 years, found comfort in her current hometown of Cartersville, Georgia. She earned her Associate of Science in Business Administration from Georgia Highlands College and her Bachelor's of Business Management and Entrepreneurship from Kennesaw State University. She went on to earn a Masters of Education from Georgia Southern University.
A Cartersville-Bartow Chamber IMPACT Award recipient and a Cartersville-Bartow Chamber Volunteer of the Year Award winner, Mecole strives to deliver excellence in all that she does. She has held roles within corporate organizations such as TSYS (Total System Services), Synovus Financial Services, and HCA-Cartersville Medical Center. Mecole also discovered a passion for higher education, holding roles within Chattahoochee Technical College and Georgia Highlands College.
