Drawing is a skill, and anyone can do it! Whether you are learning to build upon your natural abilities or taking that first step, this drawing class is for you. This course is designed to teach you the fundamentals of drawing; learning to draw from real life, using drawing techniques, and working towards complex subject matter such as portraits and figurative studies. Particular attention will be given to understanding light and shadow, value and form, and an introduction to color and expressive drawing with pastels. The instructor will provide demonstrations, presentations, and critiques to enhance students’ personal skills and assist in reaching their personal drawing goals and fine tuning their natural style.
