    Job Description
    IC Biomedical, LLC was created by merging two existing cryogenic businesses to form a market leading manufacturer of cryogenic stainless steel and aluminum storage freezers, dewars and shippers used to store biological specimens. The business has a 50-year legacy of supplying high quality products to the demanding global biomedical research and development, healthcare, biorepository, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, IVF and animal breeding markets.

    Job Summary
    The accountant will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s financial records, including preparing accurate financial statements, performing complex financial analysis, reconciling accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing insightful financial reporting to key stakeholders.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities to Include:
    • Record month-end closing journal entries.
    • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheet, income statements, cash flow statements) for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
    • Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key performance indicator (KPI) tracking.
    • Operational reporting.
    • Prepare management reports with insights into financial performance and identity areas for improvement.
    • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
    • Intercompany management and reconciliation.
    • Reconcile bank accounts.
    • Fixed asset management.
    • Lease management.
    • Inventory management and reconciliation.
    • International tax reporting.
    • Assist in preparation of annual budget.
    • Assist in completing annual audits.
    • Assist other areas of accounting.
    • Other duties and projects as assigned.
    Qualifications
    • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • Strong experience with Microsoft Office products and are comfortable learning new technology.
    • Proficient in accounting software
    • Initiative-taking, able to work in a team and independently
    • Ability to make informed decisions that are in the best interest of the organization.
    • Must be able to resolve issues, to identify the cause for accurate resolution and to prevent future occurrence and know when to escalate.
    • Communication and Relationships: Strong interpersonal skills to work directly with internal and external customers.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
    • Flexibility: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work in a fast-paced environment, responsive in reacting to a changing and dynamic environment
    Education and Experience
    • 5+ years’ experience in an accounting
    • Experience in manufacturing environment a plus
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
    • International accounting experience a plus
