Job Summary
This position provides administrative support and student academic direction for Learning Support Services & Tutoring.
Responsibilities
• Supports and carries out the college's mission, values, and strategic priorities in compliance with the mandates and regulations of the University System of Georgia and all associated accrediting agencies
• Provides general administrative support to the Director of Tutoring & Learning Support Services.
• Schedules and manages appointments for LSS
• Maintains records of student visits and sessions
• Provides one-on-one learning instruction to students across various disciplines
• Assists students to access the online tutoring platform for tutoring sessions
• Maintains timely and proper communication with students, faculty, and staff of the college via phone, email, and other electronic means
• Engages in all required reporting for student progress in a timely manner
• Performs related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
• Available to work various times/days, evenings, or weekends at any GHC location
• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of an associate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field
• Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one (1) year
• Equivalent Combination of Experience and/or Education of two (2) years
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in course of study related to the occupation field
• Experience in use of Banner
Proposed Salary
Commensurate with experience

• Skill in the preparation of clear and accurate reports

• Ability to work accurately and efficiently with frequent interruptions
